Editorial policy
Local Culture Guide aims to describe local culture with care: what is known, what varies and what should not be presented as a single settled account. Our articles are written for general readers, not as professional advice.
Accuracy and sources
We check names, terms and factual details against suitable sources before publication, and distinguish established information from interpretation. We avoid making broad claims from a single example. When a subject is contested or varies by place, we say so and frame the account accordingly.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Any sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial content. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage.
Corrections
We welcome specific reports of errors through the Contact page. We review corrections, amend material when warranted and make significant changes clear to readers.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. We use them as illustrations, not as documentary evidence, and aim to keep them from being mistaken for records of a real place or event.
